Here is my 2 cents on the food. It was great. I was given a sample of onions and peppers in a balsamic vinegar. I thought it was savory. I tried their homemade cole slaw. The cabbage was crunchy and the dressing was well balanced . Not too wet,too sweet or too salty .Just right. I was tired of seafood so I got a strip steak. The cook prepare it to the perfect medium rare. Over all an excellent meal. Oh yes you must try the clam chowder. It was so tasty. I did not need any s & p and when I added some crackers, I actually though I had ruined it. It is that good by itself. A tip: on Thursday the special is corn beef and cabbage. After all its a Irish place. Now some chit chat. Be warned if you are 0ver 5'11" ( I am 6'3") the door entrance is a bit low. The folks were very nice and inviting. My server,Joshua, did a outstanding job. I though the decor was homey and comfortable. They only serve wine and beer. Over all a great place. I will be back again soon.

They are reopened under new management. Better than ever. I've been there twice since the reopening. Had their top notch liver and onions and the Thursday corned beef and cabbage special. Corned beef was nice chunky pieces and meal came with potatoes and carrots. Yummy. Service was tip top. Prices were moderate. Would heartily recommend!

I have been looking for a good corned beef rueben in the Fort Myers area since May. After reading several reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I asked for it open faced. OK it comes. UNEDIBLE. First is the corned beef which was the cheapest cut you can buy. Second, it was cut paper thin. Third, it was so salty that it was impossible to eat. French fries and cole slaw were good. Took several bites, asked for my check and left. I normally would not name other restaurants, but this place should check out Rod's in Sea Girt NJ and try to duplicate their Rueben. Also Frankies in Point Pleasant NJ makes an excellent corned beef Rueben. What is it with Florida? Do these places think that everyone does not know good food? How do these places stay open?

Ordered fish and chips-very good! My husband says hie Reuben was the best ever! I don't like Reuben's but took a taste and had to agree! Cold beer and attentive service! Very good!

It's open again Under NEW ownership Currently the menu is the same as before. We had the Rueben sandwich with French fries. The french fries were warm:-( not hot! The sandwich was exceptional, lots of meat! Our chocolate cake was out of this world!!! Carrot cake was good. The wait staff was helpful.....so our experience was very good and will be back soon

Clanceys was about 1/3 full on a Monday in early March, about 1:30pm. Service was fast and our waitress was efficient. She gave my lunch date his beer at the discounted price even though the discount didn't begin for another 30 minutes. He had shepherd's pie that came with choice of soup or salad. He chose the salad which was lame - a pile of iceberg with 3 big rings of sliced onion, some tomato wedges and a few croutons. However he enjoyed the entree which was very large and so hot I could see steam coming off his plate until he finished the last bite. As with many American restaurants it had cheese on top; I have never once seen shepherd's pie served with cheese in many trips to Ireland. (I am pro-cheese, but there's a time and a place for it.) He came across one tough piece of either gristle or overcooked beef (like from the corner of the casserole pan) but he ate the rest and pronounced it "pretty good." I had the corned beef sandwich which was a decent amount of meat on very fresh, soft marble rye and paid $1 extra for the addition of Swiss cheese. The meat was lean but not dry and had good flavor. There was a choice of sides and I ordered the house-made coleslaw which was rather sweet but OK. Overall a decent value for the price but not really what I'd consider an Irish pub atmosphere other than the cheesy St. Patrick's Day paraphernalia they were selling by the front door - but doesn't everyone need a mini rubber ducky leprechaun and some green plastic beads?

Sign out front said " Lebeouf says best corned beef in ft Myers" Gave it a try - service was great & food came out quick, but Lebeouf is full of crap! CB sandwich was long on soggy rye bread & short on corned beef that wasn't very good regardless - too lean & too chewy. Should have known better - an Irish place without a bar - that's just wrong

Don't get the steak. tough, overpriced, tasteless. All meals at our table were loaded with sodium, that includes, soup, French Dip, steak, chicken alfredo. Service was good, wait for bad food was too long. Manager did not come to table to hear our complaints, seem forced to deal with us at cash register. She did not care about how we felt about their meals, was very cold and did not offer any discount for the meals. I have eaten at many restaurants in Ft Myers, and my advice, stick with Bone Fish, Outback. Even the airport food is better and.....cheaper.

This place used to be my favorite place in the city to eat. Used to be. The pros: Cool atmosphere (dark, low ceiling, dollar bills stapled on every conceivable inch of the walls -- lots of history here!). One of the few "Irish" restaurants in the area. Cons: This place used to be AMAZING -- used to be. The food was beyond excellent and the service was outstanding. Now.... not so much. Our last trip here, a little under a year ago, wound up with both my girl and I getting really sick. It might have been worth it had the food actually been good, but the corned beef was dry and rubbery and the cabbage tasted bland like it was out of a can. On top of that, the wait staff was almost non-existent. Over all the meal was certainly not worth the price we paid. It really pains me to give Clancey's a 2 star rating. I've been here so many times since I was a kid and it's always been one of my favorite places to eat in Fort Myers -- until recently. :(

Enjoyed their liver & onions with bacon tonight. Wife had the ribeye steak and said it was great. Stepson had the meatloaf, which he said "Is to die for". The New England clam chowder was perfect, as usual. Good food, good folk, COLD beer - what's not to like? Recommend!

My favorite place for a reuben sandwich! Super tender meat, thin sliced with chrispy fries on the side. Also make sure to try the potato skins and the french onion soup, Both are excellent. I did, however, come here for dinner and wasn't too impressed. I'll just stick with the lunch sandwiches.

Good service and food comes out pretty fast. The Shepard's Pie is pretty good-- would recommend for St. Patrick's Day! But get there early, there's a huge wait on that holiday.

Went here for lunch, ordered the Fish n Chips, with malt vinager of course. The fish is (forgive the spelling) Swabasi a very mild white fish. It was battered and deep fried served with my choice steak fries. I love the blend of this dish with the malt vinager, not too tart, but perfect for my pallet..Not a fan of ketcup, for my steak fries, so I requested a homemade dressing perhaps..I was in luck, they make Blu Cheese, Thousand island and a peppercorn ranch. I chose the Blu and the Peppercorn. The Blu was fantastic, not to pungent. The Peppercorn was truly first class, perhaps on another visit I will use this on my salad. The crunchy batter made this very mild white fish pop. The restaurant has an eclectric display of beer cans and a homey atmosphere. It is a little dark with the tables and booths, but the dark wood with the green upholstry, make this establishment very inviting. My server was very attentive and nice. He actually was the one that suggested the peppercorn, good call. The staff is family with some exceptions. They serve beer and wine and from my understanding make a mean Rueben, I may have to try at another time. The music in the background was not over whelmingly loud, but nice and listening to Elvis "Are you Lonesome Tonight" was easy on my digestion. Clancey's is a die hard restaurant that has been around since the 70's. Check out their website for menu and specials. Dont forget this is an Irish Restaurant, so don't miss out on St. Patrick's Day. clanceysresturant.com
